The Lancaster University International Study Centre building was opened in November 2011 to meet increasing demand and is already thriving. The centre is home to a diverse cohort of students worldwide recruited through Study Group’s global marketing and recruitment teams. Housed in the George Fox building in the heart of the university campus, the International Study Centre provides the latest in teaching and technology resources.
Specific academic studies, English language, study preparation and pastoral support give students the knowledge base and study skills to succeed once they progress onto their degree. In addition, the International Study Centre offers International Foundation, carefully created with the University’s academic team. The programme provides a seamless transition into year one of a broad selection of mainstream courses at Lancaster University, one of the top 10 universities in the UK (The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021). You can also choose to study your programme on campus or start your programme virtually from home.
Student life in Lancaster is diverse and international. You will have access to everything you need right here on campus, from quiet spaces to study like the Learning Zone to places to socialise like our cinema and restaurants. International students benefit from dedicated support from our staff, making sure they get the best student experience possible.

The University campus is located three miles from the historic city of Lancaster. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is close to Lancashire’s beaches and the Lake District National Park. Our students love the University’s combination of a safe and friendly campus with easy access to the city, coast and English countryside.
